cannot reliably join friends and play with them

When I join my friends’ lobby (they are on Xbox or PC and I am on PS5), we very rarely manage to start a match together. Most of the time, they load into the game without me, even though I am in the party before they start matchmaking. On my side, I stay in the lobby or get stuck on the loading screen while they are already in the match.

To make it work, we have to restart the game several times (both me and my friends), and after a few attempts it sometimes works when we are only 2 in the lobby, never when we are three, but it is very inconsistent and unreliable. This makes it almost impossible to play together. 

Troubleshooting already tried:

Restarted the game and the console multiple times. Cleared the PS5 cache (full power down, unplug, etc.). Rebuilt the data base. Checked that crossplay is enabled in the game settings. Re‑added friends via EA IDs. Tried different data centers/servers. Tested my internet connection (stable and working fine with other online games). Deleted the game and reinstalled it.

Can you fix the issue ?
