Can't hear other players sound

When I shoot I can perfectly hear my shots loud and clearly. I can't hear enemies their footsteps or bullet shots. This is quite annoying since you need to hear these. I have everything on 100% in my audio settings. Resetting audio settings to default doesn't work.

  • I found a solution for myself!

I will tell you how I did it:

First off right click on the audio pictogram on the bottom right. Then select 'Sounds'

Then click on 'playback'. Right click your speakers and select 'properties'

Next, click on 'Advanced' and click on the first option.

Change this to "24 bit, 48000 Hz (Studio Quality).

When you apply it you will probably not hear anything for like 20 seconds. For me it fixed itself after that. If it doesn't for you, restart your pc.

When I did this I could hear other players their gun shots and it was great. Hope it works for you guys as well 🙂

I had this issue and fixed it today by uninstalling the newest Nvidia drivers and then restarting PC. Once I came back on it had installed a driver from January. The sound started working after that.

I have AMD but I can try I guess

  • my game is not allowing me to hear anyone else's footsteps or gunshots. I can hear my own but not my teammates or enemies, ive tried reinstalling changing settings, repairing and nothing will work.

My friend is also having this issue and it seems to have something to do with the audio settings of stereo, quadraphonic, 5.1, and 7.1. Sometimes it works for him but 90% of the time it doesn't. Seems like it could be a bug, driver issue, or speaker/headphone issue. There aren't enough people affected to get enough attention yet, but it is definitely annoying!!

  • My friend has this problem as well, where his only option is quadraphonic sound configuration. We have tried literally everything to get it to work. So if you figure out anything please come back and let us know!
