Why do I have expiry date on my coins? As far as I am aware it's only for Japanese players? But my account is created in India and I have never changed country of my account to anything else. Even all of my transactions are in Indian currency so why?
As explained in your Reddit thread, we know that this is something that's applied to Japanese players due to their regional laws.
I believe there are 2 theories here:
Not sure about this one, but using a VPN might be a tad more problematic as IIRC, some more regional things are applied based on geolocation.
Either way, I'd recommend checking the set region for your account and whether or not you are using a VPN.
Maybe someone else can pop in here or your Reddit thread with a more definitive answer, contacting EA support is something I'd also recommend if you'd like more information from them, as they might know the answer.
I just verified my EA account region and it's set to India since creation of this account. VPN is OFF, disconnected my Ethernet and connected my PC to Mobile Data for sake of it and still it shows the same. Everybody on reddit just saying it's because i played ranked games on Tokyo servers but then almost everyone i know above Diamond plays ranked there but none of them have expiry date on their coins.
