Cross progression lost my 4k & 20bomb badges

Hi, around febuary i completed my cross progression process. But in this time, i lost my 4k damage badge on wraith and 20 kill badge on wraith. It seems that when i transferred my psn data to my pc account, the PSN data replaced my pc data, causing me to lose all my pc stats and badges. I have proof; On the game, it says i only have 350 kills on wraith, but here: https://apexlegendsstatus.com/profile/PC/nabubh#S-legends-statistics you can see i have 708 kills on wraith (this website runs off your own API so it isnt lying), here is my ingame screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/8ep0gYJ . Secondly, the tracker website also shows that i have had a 20 kill badge on wraith before, https://imgur.com/a/pX35JDf . And the reason why the 4k badge isnt showing, is because my PSN 2k damage badge has overwritten it.

I also saw an EA representative in an issue like this last December saying badges do not carry over platforms; It's funny to me how that's their excuse considering the badges i had on pc were just overwritten by my PS4 badges 🤣🤣. If this doesn't get an educated, well put together response i may as well give up. FIX YOUR GAME!! Your game has just deleted some of my progress data on pc just because i wanted my ps4 stuff as well. WHATS EVEN CRAZIER: Respawn (or EA) mentioned cross progression will take time to be released, because it's not something that can go wrong and try again. What a miracle that they said that and then end up messing it up.

  • Hey @nabubh,

The reason you're only seeing partial stats and appear to be missing some stat-related badges would go back to the original Cross Progression announcement.

In particular, Note: stats cannot be merged across platforms, so they will default to your primary profile. Any badges tied to stats from other profiles merged into your EA Account may not be available.

Your primary profile would be the highest level at the time of Cross Progression. Stats were not merged across different platforms, so you'd just be seeing stats from your highest level account, even if individual badges/stats on other platforms may have been higher, as in this case.

That would be why you're only seeing particular stats, and I'm afraid there is not a way to change this. I get that's not ideal, but hopefully that clarifies why things are appearing this way for you now.

  • @EA_MakoIt seems you did not read what I said properly.

my main account is my pc account! And yet, my ps4 stats have just replaced my pc (main account) stats and badges. If your announcement was true, then it’s broken 😂 It’s just done the opposite of what that announcement said. My PS4 account stats & badges (not main account) have overwritten my main account stats & badges. Makes no sense to me and not even live chat understood what was happening. Even they admitted that it wasn’t supposed to happen.

  • To me this just seems like a lack of effort in EA’s attempt to implement cross-progression. They couldn’t be bothered to allow users to fully customise what would be replaced and what wouldn’t; Which is a reoccurring  issue with EA where they put no effort into things. Even overwatch did cross progression better than this, and they didn’t even have rules like ‘highest level is main account’.

    Hey @nabubh,

While I understand you would have liked to see more customization in how that process played out, what I mentioned is absolutely accurate.

While you may have considered PC your main account, it was not the highest level account. The highest level account is what determines the primary account, which is what I'd mentioned previously.

This is what determines which set of stats will be used. At the time of Cross Progression your PS4 account was a little over 30 levels higher than your PC account, which would have made it the primary. This would be why your PS4 stats were used over your PC stats, which is working as described I'm afraid.

  • @EA_Mako So I just have to grind for my badges again? There was literally no common sense put into this development process. If the game can check what level my accounts are they should be able to see which one is more active. Why would I want my 4 year old account to be the main account I play on and not the one I used less than half a year ago? Densest people ever you got working on this system here mate.
  • @EA_Mako I also know that the tools you have allow you to add things to people’s accounts, so even with my proof that I had these badges you are still going to say no because I misunderstood the cross progression?

    Hi @nabubh,

Actually, the tools we have do not allow me to add badges to people's accounts, sorry.

This would be treated the same way it was for everyone, which would be that badges that can be earned in-game which are no longer available due to being earned on a non-primary account would need to be re-acquired in-game.
