Ea app apex legends aim assist not working?

So i just started to play apex legends through the ea app and noticed something wrong. On steam the aim assist worked fine no problems. But throught the ea app i saw when aiming at someone the aim assist would completely turm off with most time just slight turn to left or right of the right thumb stick. I would see lock on than move 1 small inch to thr side in game and would stop follow the bot/person for no reason. Will redownload this fix this weird issue?

@NobuZYX Did you check your controller settings in game, since Steam and EA save configfiles in different folders?
  • Yes i have checked first and i changed it back to same settings yet aim assist is just bugging out on ea only

  • Nevermind having trouble on steam now as well :/ imma uninstall both and retry again later

  • Now the issue has stretched over to steam. Aim assist no longer kicks in. Even when turned on it still feels like im aiming with aim compensation turned off. Ive enjoyed playing the game for years but now this buy is rly starting to turn me off on playing. I honestly regret trying to play on my ea account rather than staying on my steam account. At this point might have to reboot my pc to see if this issue will ever fix

@NobuZYXThat’s odd.. what controller are you using? Is it connected via cable or Bluetooth?

  • Xbox elite 1 controller connected to usb. Figured out i had to recalibrate my controller but everytime i add tap strape in steam seems to mess with the aim assist. So now i guess i cant tap strafe. Not sure imma just keep messing with calibration and controller settings

Have you tried uninstalling the game from either Steam OR EA-App.. just thinking.. but that shouldn't be the problem. I run both too with absolutely no issues.
