Error Help: EAC Not Installed
Whenever I open the game it freezes for a bit, then gives me an error stating that easy anti cheat is not installed or can’t be reached. This started around two weeks ago or so, and I still haven’t found a fix. Any suggestions?
Things I’ve tried (applicable to EA and Steam versions of Apex, as I’ve tried with both and neither work);
1) Uninstalling and Reinstalling
2) Verifying & Repairing files
3) Deleting EAC before I repair the files so it’s forced to reinstall
4) The EAC recommended fix via command prompt. Tried two more times, one where I uninstalled and reinstalled the game afterwards, and another where I restarted my computer
5) Creating an EAC shortcut with different launch properties
6) Repairing using EAC (EAC claims that it is not installed and therefore cannot repair anything)
7) Running both Apex and EAC as administrator
8) Allowing all EA game folders exceptions for virus protections
9) Allowing Apex. EA. and EAC through firewalls
10) Recovering deleted files in case I somehow deleted EAC or something. I couldn’t find anything
11) Turned on compatibility modes (though I’m on Windows 11 so that was a long shot)
12) Adjusting in-game settings before it kicks me back to the error screen
I can run DBD fine so it isn’t like my hardware hates EAC, it seems to just be an apex issue and it’s driving me mad to be honest </3. I also do not have any other antivirus software installed, and I didn’t download anything between when it last worked and when it stopped working. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
