Games crashing to blank screen, forced to shutdown PC

This problem occurs to me since I started using Origin again with the launch of Apex Legends.

I play TF|2 and Apex Legends from Origin, and these crashes occur in both games. First, the screen gets black for a second, then it either changes to a random color (mostly black, but it turned white and beige aswell), or my monitor tells me I lost my signal. I can still hear the game audio, but I am not able to do anything whatsoever (alt + f4, pressing the windos button, etc.)

I am forced to shutdown my PC using the power button.

Now to other things worth noting. In AL I wasn't able to find any special things that might be connected to the crashes, but in TF|2 I did.

My games crashes after 1 to 5 minutes when playing in "Windowed" mode (worth noting that I played in borderless window using "launch commands" I have found on this website), but it "only" crashes once in ~30 min when playing in Fullscreen. Apex Legends only crashes once every 2 hours of playtime.

I haven't found any people with symptoms like these, so I would be really grateful for any help I might get.

    I have a simular problem occur it seem to be related to the newest nvidia driver updates. are you using nvidia? anyways what i found when this happens is as you i could still hear the audio. for me the fix is to unplug my HDMI cord from the back of my computer and plug it back in. suddenly the screen is there again. i dunno if this will help you, but it work for me. it seems like the display port changes a setting and then the screen goes blank or black till you unplug and plug it in so the graphics card can auto detect plug and play again.

    First, thanks for answering.

    Yes I use NVidia, but I haven't downloaded the newest drivers yet, because I heard some people having troubles with them, although I will try them out.

    And I will try to replug the cable, didn't think about that

    i got the same prob but using amd graficcard
    Game crashed to desktop and thats it.
