Yes, I have had this issue with my son's underage account. That just seems kinda ridiculous to me though. The only reason I made the account for him was so that we could play together while I am on my PC, and I am not going to buy another switch.
Should I just make an alternate standard EA account for him to use on the switch?
Did you figure out how to add your child as a cross platform friend? I am also trying to play with my son, he is 8. He is playing on xbox and I am playing on Playstation 4 pro. Ive sent him request and he has sent me some as well but neither one shows up on our accounts. I sure hope you can help. Id really like to play with him otherwise I wouldnt be playing at all. 🤷♀️
