I wasted Apex coins on the Battle Pass

Hello, I bought the Battle Pass on the 15th of September. I was checking in game to see when the pass would end, so that I would not waste my apex coins. I saw that the season ends in over 40 days, so I bought the pass. I don't know if this was a bug or is for the full season. I didn't know there was a split that makes a whole new pass. So I effectively wasted my apex coins and didn't get any of the skins or coins you get from completing the pass. I don't know if I have to look at another section in the pass, but I couldn't see it saying this pass will end in a couple of hours. I wouldn't have bought it with this knowledge as there was an update shortly after I got off the game for the new split. Please can you advise if anything can be done as I now can't buy the new battle pass because I do not have enough tokens. I am sorry, but I truly did not see any indication that the pass was going to be ending at all.
