When launching Apex Legends on Steam, I am stuck forever on the title screen. The "continue" button never pops up, so I am stuck with Horizon and Alter forever staring at me.
I have tried:
- Restarting Apex, Steam, and PC multiple times.
- Uninstalling and reinstalling Apex on Steam.
- Unplugging all USB drives from PC.
- Flushing DNS settings and resetting PC.
- Running in compatibility mode and as administrator.
- Checking Steam and Apex server status.
- Checking my EA account. Not banned or anything.
- Contacting EA support through the chat, and they directed me here.
So I got nothing. Anything that could help would be greatly appreciated 🙂

I have tried running the game as Administrator and followed the below:
Step 1: Go to the installation folder of your Apex Legends to find the file named r5apex.exe and open its Properties.
Step 2: Under the Compatibility tab, check both Run this program in compatibility mode for and Run this program as an administrator options, and save settings.
Step 3: Launch Apex Legends and wait for the Continue button appears on the screen.
Step 4: At the bottom of the screen, click the Data Center option and then choose another suitable server.
Having done this the issue is still unresolved.
I also have 175GB free on my SSD so it's not a space issue.
Help on this issue will be much appreciated.
UPDATE: Fixed it. Turns out being in the "Steam Families Beta" version of Steam causes the game not to open. To get it to work, go to Steam, Settings, Interface, then under Client Beta Participation set it to "No Beta Chosen." Not sure if/how this affects family library sharing, but it made the game work immediately after restarting Steam.
Oh my god! After trying literally everything listed here, every other advice without success, this weird solution actually worked like charm. Been stuck on infinite circle since yesterday, now I'm successfully logged-in again. Dunno how did you figure it out, but kudos to you!

And if you opt out if the beta while being in a family you will no longer have access to your friends games, you'll still be in the family, just have to re-enable the steam family beta again
