Insane lag issues
First off, trying to contact EA for help is near impossible. That has made this situation way more frustrating.
I’ve been playing Apex for years on PS5 with no issues whatsoever. I recently switched to a gaming laptop - MSI Cyborg 15. It’s great. I love it.
For whatever reason, I cannot play a game of Apex without dealing with unplayable lag. None of my other games have lag issues. The troubleshoot does not help me at all.
My laptop is hardwired, my internet speed test showed 919mbps last night, I’ve lowered all of the video settings, I’ve tried different servers, I’ve reset my router, ChatGPT walked me through sending pings and tracer routes with and without a VPN and both tracer routes failed before reaching EA, I contacted my ISP today and they said there’s no issue with my modem nor do they slow traffic to EA (chat GPT said this was a possibility with some ISPs). The servers I connect to show between 35-40 pings with 0% packet loss, then once I’m in a game, my ping spikes to 500 or even 1000.
As far as I can tell, I’ve done everything I can on my end. This has got to be an EA issue right? Is there anything else I can try? I’ll attach some pics of the network error indicators I’m receiving.
Help.
