Lifetime ban for something petty

Good day all. I trust you are doing well.

I've been a customer of ea and origin for over 10 years now. The amount of monetary support I have given then must be thousands of dollars.

My record has always been squeeky clean, I've never cheated nor been banned for anything. I have many other accounts I've had for over 10 years (eg steam) that has never been banned nor suspended.

At the beginning of this year I recieved a LIFETIME ban for hateful conduct.

(I called somebody in my team * in a game of apex legends)

I do not condone nor justify this type of toxic behaviour, I had apologised to the person in my team I offended, and also in an e mail to the EA staff. I acknowledge what I said was wrong, and promised it would never happen again.

Now I understand I did violated terms of service with this comment but is a lifetime ban really necessary? I have appealed this ban but it was denied. Is there anything else I can maybe do? Surely if this reaches the right person they will see a lifetime ban is unnecessary?

Anyways thank you for taking the time reading this

    Hey @NamelessxZA,

I've edited your post to remove that screenshot. If it resulted in an action in-game it's best not to repeat that here either.

Regarding the account action itself, I'm afraid we are unable to review this on the forums.

Our Terms of Service team has the final say when investigating any appeals of this nature, though if you believe that was applied incorrectly and have just had a single appeal declined you're welcome to create a new appeal to have another member of the ToS team take a look.

Ultimately if they continue to decline the appeals, that would not be something that can be changed here or elsewhere, sorry.

  • Hi thank for your response.

I have sent them another e mail trying to appeal this. Sadly this doesn't look good for me and is rather unbelievable
