Missing Cosmetics

I have checked my PlayStation and the account is exactly the same as my PC.

It is the case that every cosmetic I owned on PSN is gone, I am aware that exclusives are not shared but its not just those. 

I have also never unlinked any account and as stated, my accounts were linked long before the merging update.

If there is no way to recover these cosmetics I understand, but I would still like to know what caused this.

Have you had a chance to sign in on PlayStation at all since returning? It generally wasn't necessary when this first took place, but if you're not seeing certain content and those platforms have never been unlinked, that would be worth a try. Stats could not be merged and would reflect the highest account level at the time instead, though most cosmetics should be shared.

Are you missing literally every single cosmetic from PlayStation, or just certain items? There are still platform exclusives, though the vast majority should be available to every platform you have connected to the same EA account.

From what you've mentioned it doesn't sound like unlinking is part of the issue here, but I would check through this other information about Cross Progression for related situations. Unfortunately there is not a way to recover content if it was not merged, but signing back in on that same PSN account would definitely be worth a shot here.
