Solved

My account was hacked, returned, and then banned.

Hello, legends! Today I'm going to tell you a story that brings tears to my eyes.

The other day, all my data was stolen from me. They hacked all the mailboxes, all the social networks and gaming platforms. I noticed this in apex and realized that something was wrong. The recovery mailboxes in the two accounts were not mine, so I decided to check my mailboxes. They were hacked, 71 messages from EA Games were deleted, and the data was stolen.  Having decided what to do, I restored access and changed passwords wherever possible and started returning stolen items to Apex. The support team helped me get my accounts back. At the same time, I checked them for loss, and everything turned out to be in order. I activated two-factor authentication to avoid getting into such trouble anymore, but alas, my 2,000 hours were banned by EA Games for allegedly fraudulent activities.

I appealed, to which they replied that your account would not be blocked because it would not be there. I sent a second ticket, with screenshots from the game, where my nicknames are visible, and also indicated in the ticket which nicknames I had in the past, such information obviously cannot be from an attacker. So, friends, 2000 hours, 5 years of ups and downs, and the blow came from where I did not expect. 5 years of patience, lags, bugs, fun, competitions and victories. I've always believed in developers, even when they were wrong, but I'm speechless here.

Do you know what's even more insulting? The fact that I bought 6700 apex coins through a promo code, bought myself an Ash from the Takata event and the account was stolen the next day.

I love this game and I'm not ready to just say goodbye to the progress that was earned with blood and sweat!

Do you think the developers did the right thing by me and is there a chance that my account will be returned to me?

  • I hope that Devs will help ya with that accident.. If your story and facts are true - you shouldn't been banned cause it's really unfair..

Try to reopen ticket and ask for some help and any ways to unban account.

I wish you good luck with solving that accident 🙂

Will the developers respond again if this is the second request?

To be honest, I'm very worried about this issue, because 5 years of my career and attempts at streaming will go into the void.

The team that reviews ban related cases would be the EA TOS Team, (not the developers), and if you had already appealed the ban once, you will be able to appeal it two more times, (for a max of 3 ban appeal attempts).

Sadly, if you are denied the 3rd time, that does mean that the ban will be upheld, (and any further appeals will be met with an auto response stating "to not expect anything further").

Note: If your first ban appeal case is still active, do not create a second case until the first one is closed, (as that can cause problems and delays in the ban appeal process).

  • Unfortunately I had the same issue a while back, my account was hacked and I didn't notice for a while, but once I did I managed to get it all back only for it to be banned a few days later. I made many tickets to ea support and such but they were all closed with the same issue being that they made the right call even though I had a lot of proof that I didn't do anything against their TOS personally (including a nickname being in a completely different language). EA support is no help in my opinion and I'm sorry you've had to deal with this experience. I believe EA just does it in hopes you'll make a new account and spend more money.
