My game won't start

Hello,
As stated in the subject, my game won't start, it freezes on the loading screen. I'm attaching a screenshot to show exactly where it happens. Also, the loading circle doesn't move at all. This has been happening since the new update was released—before that, there were no issues.

  • YlmaZ1433  Have you tried any of the following since updating the game:

    1. Verified the game's integrity files
    2. Updated your PC/Console
    3. Reviewed the Troubleshoot your connection to EA games guide

If you're on PC, are you:

    1.  Running any 3rd party programs that might conflict with Apex Legends, (If you are, those must be closed out of to play the game).
    2.  Running an older GPU, (since the last patch, Apex Legends now requires a GPU that can support DX12 with feature level 12_0, the reason why can be found here).

If you are need help with seeing if your PC can support DX12 with feature level 12_0, you can find my guide here.

Note: If you're on PC, please send a DxDiag log, (otherwise, what platform are you playing on?)

Yes, I have already tried those solutions. My graphics card is an RTX 2070 Super, so I was already playing on DX12 before.

I left the game running, and after about 20 minutes, it unfroze and started working. However, after closing it, the same issue occurs again. I should add that the game is installed on an SSD.

YlmaZ1433  Its possible that it was just compiling the shaders. However, when the game does compile its shaders, it should tell you like so:

Another thing you can try would be to repair your PC's system files:

    • Open the Command Prompt in administrator mode

    • Type, "DISM /Online /Cleanup-image /Restorehealth" (without the quotes), and wait for it to finish.
Note: DISM stands for "Deployment Image Servicing and Management tool". It often repairs Microsoft related files, such as issues with Window apps. Some problems with the next file checker can only be fixed after running this one first.

    • Now type, "sfc /scannow" (without the quotes), and wait for it to finish.
Note: sfc stands for "System File Checker". This one will repair system files, (such as important Windows drivers).

    • Lastly, restart your PC.

Note: A DxDiag log can help me troubleshoot the problem further. If you don't wish to share the log on this thread, you can send it to me in a direct message here on the forums instead.

    • (DxDiag stands for "DirectX Diagnostics")

I've already tried that. I don't think it's shader compilation because after the game unfreezes, the shader compilation window pops up.
I'm attaching the DxDiag log file.
