[PC] Stutter/hitching, frametime jumping super high

At home I'm running a i7 8700, 16GB DDR4, RTX2080Ti with Gsync. Game runs fine around 144 most of the time, however there's random stutters. Maybe like 5 or 6 a game. Looking at RTSS, the frametime jumps up to about 100ms per, while it usually sits around 8-10ms. Tried pretty much everything, disabling g-sync, using the various vsync solutions in game, running the game super low, capping the frames in RTSS or via commands in Origin. No avail.

I've tried the game on my work machine, which is an older i7, 32GB DDR3 and an older Geforce Titan model, and it runs fine. Hits the 60 cap with no hitching in sight. Odd. Any insight/suggestions or fixes would be hugely appreciated!

Tried other games to see if the issue persists, but so far, GTAV, DOOM, Division 2 and one of our in-development titles haven't shown these symptoms at all!

Including my DXDiag if that can be of any help!

I'm now clueless about what is causing the stuttering.

It completely went away on my 4790 and then I upgraded to a 6700k with new ram etc and it was fine the first few days and now it stutters like HELL each match. It clearly isn't a hardware issue as its happening on different systems.

Can the network issues with the games maybe mimic freamtime?

    I only have 1 gpu.

Running ISLC and removing gameDVR through the registry has atleast made it playable. only drawback is that it feels like the pc is taking a * everytime you alt-tab

  • Hi,

I have the exact same issue.
    I'm running a i5-7600k , 16 gigs of RAM in dual Channel, and a GeForce 1080ti.

I had no issues on my 1070 and as soon as I upgraded to 1080ti I started getting the same stuttering and jumps as you. And they are totally illogical as you said. In a massive fight you'll get no issues and in an empty hut you'll get little freezes... Makes no sense.
And all this despite a steady 125fps cap which I use RTSS for (I get a good 144 if I want to but I figured 125 was the steadiest on my rig).

    I tried literally everything:
-Newest Nvidia drivers using DDU each time.
-all sorts of tweaks on settings, setting everything to low medium hugh,
-playing around with Nvidia settings following tutorials
-Formated my PC entirely and reinstalled win10 from scratch...

I've read up on many forums and it seems the higher end your PC is the more likely you get these issues.

This is extremely common according to my Google research and forums read.

It's really time EA looks into this.
