Playing Apex Legends kills my internet

I have no prior experience with this issue until recently I have decided to reinstall the game.

After a minute or 2 after starting up the game, it seems that it killed off my wifi on my device. (Other people on the network were still connected)

I was unable to see any networks during the time that it went down, and the wifi button (Windows 10) at the taskbar was turned off, though nothing happens if I turned it back on again.

After a minute, sometimes the networks reappear and I am able to rejoin the network again, but it will crash it again if I launch Apex for a minute or so again.

I tested with others games, Apex was the only game giving me this problem, I have also previously played this on a network which was far inferior than the one I am using.

In fact, the network I played with successfully was about 50 times worse in terms of speed (It was 1mbps whereas I now have 50mbps).

Any suggestions?

    Hey @donte1130

    That's definitely strange.

    Have you tried running the network troubleshooter in Windows to see if it's able to find any issues? If you right click on the network icon in your Windows taskbar you should see a "troubleshoot problems" option when the menu comes up. Give that a shot and see if it finds any problems.

  • I'm also having this problem it used to be 3/5 times now its every time I try to play Apex in the start of a game I'll dc then after I close the game it automatically kills my WiFi connection and in doing so I can't connect to any networks and eventually nothing shows up anymore.

    If I restart my pc there's also a chance that it doesn't turn back on? But if I shut down and then boot it up again it's all connected and working again. I've tried updating drivers and reinstalling my adapter drivers it doesn't help. I've tried playing other online games but only happens with Apex

    @Yingtastic

    That's really strange. When you have the chance can you share a DxDiag so we can take a look? For more information on how to pull one up check out the EA Help website. Once you have the text file please attach it to this thread.

    Thanks!

    @Yingtastic I am having the same issue, gave all the logs, validated everything and still the same. Is your network Intex Ax600 by any chance? This issue started out of nowhere and now i cannot even play.

    Are you using the latest driver for your card? If so did you recently update it (sometimes windows will do this on its own). You might have luck trying an older driver.

    The game itself doesnt change anything with the card so it must be a conflict in the driver of the card somehow. Does it happen if you are wired? Do you have a USB wireless stick you can try as well? Just to rule out any actual wifi issues and confirm its with the card

  • Try changing your wifi adapter advanced wireless mode settings to 2:4GHz
