Please Add "Disable Controller Input" on PC, MASSIVE FRAME RATE DROP!

So I play dual zone meaning I use an XB1 controller in my left hand for movement+abilities, and a gaming mouse with keybinds for aim+other functions, along with a controller to KBM mapping software (Xpadder).  When doing this, the game recognizes the mouse, and the controller, regardless of if a mapping program is being used.  This causes the UI to swap between XB1 and PC HUDs, resulting in MASSIVE frame rate drops.  If Apex was able to not allow controller detection, the problem would be resolved.  PLEASE HELP!

I have attached a slowed down clip of an example of the issue, as well as the clip in real time.  The video was slowed down 50% to show an example of the problem.  It can be seen just a few seconds in as I aim down the sights and even just looking around the battlefield.  The quality becomes very choppy and almost rigid, as If I am following a grid to the point I want to look at.  PLEASE HELP!

  • hmm wonder if this is what is happening to me i get frame stutter and input lag with mouse but if i use a controller i get 0 lag and perfect fps

  • So when I use JUST MKB or JUST Controller, the stuttering stops, frames are fine.  ITs when being used in conjunction I'm getting the issue

I've tried everything as well.  I can not disable the controller. You'd think windows would have an option so that you can ignore peripheral input in programs by disabling it in the properties but I can't figure anything out. I have a PS nav for the my left hand that I prefer to use and it has this awful stuttering when I try to play.  But I use xpadder for other games.  This should be a ADA requirement that all games allow disabling the controller support so customized settings can used.  This is ridiculous!

  • I PLAY WITH MOUSE/CONTROLLER COMBO AND FORCING MY NATIVE CONTROLLER "OFF" IS THE ONLY THING THAT WORKS.

SO WHEN I USE MY "JOYTOKEY" KEYBOARD MAPPER TO BIND ACTUAL KEYBOARD KEYSTROKES FOR USE OF MY CONTROLLER AS A "DIRECT INPUT", THIS IS HOW IT IS DONE.

⭐  YOU MUST RUN STEAM IN BIG PICTURE MODE.

THIS HAS AN OPTION TO "FORCE OFF"  THE CONTROLLER INPUT TO BYPASS ANY "BUILT-IN  X-INPUT CONTROLLERS FOR GAMES"

THERE ARE ALSO OTHER NON-STEAM GAMES THAT CAN ALSO BE USED IN THIS SAME METHOD.

YOU JUST HAVE TO INSTALL THEM AS A "NON-STEAM" GAME WITHIN THE WHOLE STEAM BIG PICTURE MODE.

SOME GAMES ARE NOT CAPABLE OF THIS, HOWEVER, THIS METHOD IS A GENIUS WAY TO BYPASS THE EVER-SO-ANOYING XINPUT SYSTEM ALL GAMES USE NOW A DAYS.
