Most people on this thread seem to be using an NVIDIA GPU. We have seen reports that this issue can be reduced or eliminated by using the 417.35 driver set.

Please download those drivers and when you run thew install, choose Advanced and then select 'Clean Installation'.

417.35 NVIDIA drivers: https://www.nvidia.com/download/driverResults.aspx/141169/en-us

Let us know how this goes for you, thanks.

  • I'm having this error with Radeon as well. Both latest and older drivers. Fix your game.

Thank you for your response. I am using AMD CPU (FX-6300 stable OC w/o Turbo) and AMD GPU (R9 270X TOXIC). I am running the latest version of Windows 10 and the latest version of GPU drivers available. This issue startes happening immediately after the latest patch that was going to fix crashes caused by slower HDDs. I have not gotten past the looting phase in a single match, it often boots me to desktop with that error before the legend select screen even. The error states that it is programmer's mistake in writing of that code and I firmly believe it to be true. Most people will agree that the game has become less stable after the update.

This is not a proper answer. Developers should find a fix, not a workaround.
Bugs need to be fixed, not avoided.
This issue has been going on for a week and still hasn't been fixed.
Pathetic. For such a good game launch, the maintenance is nearly 0.

i did have this error evry 5-10 minutes with  my RTX 2080Ti, after some google searches, i found a thing.

Go to nvidia control panel, find physx settings, and change it to CPU only.

Since i did that, i have not crashed, try it, maybe work for some and others dont.. But for me it worked untill proper patch fix it

  • No thats really not the issue as multiple people have stated. Stop marking these threads as solved when the issue still persists.

  • Agreed. I have tried every solution i can find on the net and still keep getting the crashes. THIS NEEDS TO BE FIXED!

The reason the post is marked as solved is that it is solved for me.

I keep an eye out for more solutions and will post them here :eahigh_file:

  • Just installed brand new RTX 2080ti. Got the "device hung" error. Nvidia driver 441.20 installed. Any fixes? Nothing's wrong with my rig. Temps all fine and everything. All drivers updated. Something with either Origin or Nvidia. Thanks
