@SigmaGamingYT186 There was another update pushed last night. Did the update show up for you and has the issue still persisted since the second update?

I am also having the same exact issues as OP. Iv'e tried everything and still crashing instantly when trying to enter the game (lobby).

@KypoTpax_228  @Okami_Slays When you log in this morning, did you see an update to the game and have you updated it and tried to log in?

I'm getting the same result aswell, did the small update today, crashing on login splash screen.

I've repaired my game files and will clear cache now, then reply again with an update for you.

In case its relevant:

CPU: Intel Core i9-13900K

GPU: NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080

Clearing cache and rebooting didn't help, still getting the crash on this screen (attached screenshot). No crash report that I can see, not sure if there's a hidden .dmp file anywhere I could look at. 

Same issue.  Game starts up but after the log in screen it crashes.  No crash report or message.  I play off of Steam.  I have verified files multiple times.  Cleared temp files as you suggested and restarted.  I have also updated my card driver. I have an RTX 4080.

This doesn't necessarily help you. but my issue was happening on EA Play. I downloaded Apex through STEAM and haven't had the same issue. I'd assume it's an issue with the EA build, so I'd guess there's a patch coming in the next few days to fix 🙂

Same here, same issue with the rtx 4080 and i9 13900k. It's DEFINITELY not my hardware. I reinstalled my RAM, made sure all my SSDs are plugged in correctly, tried steam and the EA app. I've spent 5 days trying to fix  this issue and I can assure you, I've tried EVERY fix you could possibly think of, and it's still crashing at the 'register' screen. Meanwhile it works fine on my very much inferior laptop. What gives?!

Same here running the 3080ti and i9 14th gen. I tried everything including a clean wipe of the computer. The only thing that I noticed in my trial and error was if I go to device manager and disable my 3080ti my CPU graphics allow me to play and the game does not crash. If I enable the 3080ti it goes back to crashing. It seems like the Nvidia updates break the game. Having problem since s19, was able to get it working via the EA app but now with s20 its completely broken. Hoping this gets fixed soon. If anyone has anymore Insite, please let us know.  

Hey guys, this might be a month late, but I also had this problem, and I figured I'd document how I ended up fixing this in case anyone else still has this issue. For context, I have an i9 14900kf, rtx 4090, gigabyte z790 aorus elite ax mobo, 64 gb ram, etc. in otherwords a pretty high end pc. no way I bought giga hardware and I can't even play the game with my friends with [removed] pcs, right? (also plenty of my other games worked like ff14). This issue also started with the new season.

So basically, if you have a 13th or 14th gen intel processor, there's a problem with these chips and running certain workflows, like dx12 workflows (in this case compiling shaders at the main menu), has a high likelihood of crashing (https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cpus/is-your-intel-core-i9-13900k-crashing-in-games-your-motherboard-bios-settings-may-be-to-blame-other-high-end-intel-cpus-also-affected)

What I did to fix this problem was to underclock my CPU. I installed Intel Extreme Tuning Utility and brought the Performance Core Ratio down from its default 57x (5.7 GHz) to 52x (5.2 GHz). You might need to underclock more or less, idk. This allowed me to finally get through the title screen, clicking to continue and finally compiling the new shaders. I also disabled enhanced multicore performance in my BIOS, but it was only after doing the additional underclock in XTU that it actually went through.

I came to this after having given up on Apex for this season and recently trying to play the new Rainbow Six Siege update, but that also having that game suddenly start crashing in the Battleye launcher. However, that game gave me more hints to the problem, as in the launcher I noticed that it would crash while it was saying it was compiling shaders (Apex didn't say it was doing that in the menu). I searched it online, and noticed that CPU usage shot up to 100% right before crashing, and read a suggestion to disable Enhanced Multicore Performance and do some undervolting in my gigabyte BIOS (but I was too stupid to know how to do the second part). Luckily, just doing the first part fixed siege, but then I wanted to see if that would fix Apex as well, and then I noticed the CPU usage in Apex spiking before crashing as well. I decided to actually try underclocking, and the rest is history. Moral of the story, [Removed} Intel, I figured I'd try switching from AMD this generation but I ain't buying Intel ever again. I've been having stability issues and frequent BSODs, the Apex crash logs pointed to a memory issue (The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access), so I've been thinking it was a faulty RAM problem when in reality it's Intel chips sucking [removed}.

I have a Ryzen 9 4070 32 gbs ddr4 ram blah blah and am having the issues as well no solutions have worked so far I've done everything imaginable reinstall, restart, verify files, etc NOTHING has worked at all i get into the game and crash or I make it through to the server start screen and then it freezes not sure what I can do but if a solution comes along I will be back hopefully soon because I'm about to hit masters and the split  ends in 10 days [removed]

the only thing that works for me is installing the graphics driver 546.01 but this cant be a perma sultion becouse i have to update it on day.This has to get fixed please

Crashes before I can even press continue sometimes, or it crashes after that, regardless, it's like max 10 seconds I can have it open

I am using a RTX 4080, having the same issue as you. Launch Apex from Steam or EA App, has same result. Game loads normally until screen where it says click to continue (right before main menu) then it will either close itself right away or wait until I click to close itself. No crash report. Blue screen crashes my computer sometimes. NVIDIA Driver 546.01 didn't work for me. Have you found a working solution?

I'm posting my findings here because I spent a LOT of time trying to find a solution to my issue. I recently built a new PC with the best I could buy: i9 14900K, Asus Z790-H, Asus 4090...

I was having the exact same issues as described here: the game launches then when clicking to access the main menu, I get a crash or freeze or blue screen. My goal was to built the PC and leave stuff out of the box experience but with those issues (it was not only Apex), I had to find a solution. After I did a lot of research, I found out that there is an "issue" with i9 processors, it's not really an issue, it's more Intel trying to stay on top and pushing their top CPU to the limits...

So here is what I did to resolve the issue without losing any performance: IMPORTANT NOTICE: changing BIOS settings can be dangerous for your system, be careful on what you are doing, I'm telling you what works for me with my config, it doesn't mean it's an absolute solution. I'm not an expert, just a computer enthusiast.

- In the BIOS, the setting called "ASUS Multicore enhancement": set to "Enforce all limits". Basically what that does, is force the motherboard to respect the limit recommended by Intel.

- In the BIOS, the setting called "CPU Load Line Calibration" (under AI Tweaker/Digi+VRAM): set to level 4. What that does is to adjust the voltage when a big load is asked from the CPU (you can find more details on Google about LLC)

- (I still have my XMP profile enabled for the RAM speed but it's not related to our issue)

After applying those two adjustment, I was able to run all the games that were crashing and the temperature from my CPU stays under 70 degrees playing in 2K 360Hz.

I hoper this can help other people or at least be an element of solution for others.

I'm disappointed that I had to manually tweak my motherboard and CPU when it's currently the top of the line. Manufacturers should make it work out of the box and then let you OC or play with the limits if you want to.

Have the same problem now, and I think my case will prove that it's not the hardware, not the driver, its the game.

I play on i3-8350k + Strix1070OC. Game was running smooth, and had no problem with any manipulations when launched (like alt-tabbing for example). 

After recent update, when quads were introduced, game freezes at the very beginning, right after start. Nothing was changed in the system, in the OS, drivers or anything else.

as you can see, its not the problem  of new CPU's and 30/40 nvidia cards.

This game always have some problems right after an update, when you are in the main menu.

I am facing the same exact issue i've tried everything that was in this thread and it just didn't work. Cpu bumps into near 100% and it crashes with black screen before i can do anything inside of a game. 

Following Intel's issues with the generation 13 and 14, especially on K versions, most of the motherboards manufacturer released BIOS updates to enforce Intel's limits recommendations.

I did update my BIOS yesterday (the new version was from May 30th, I have an Asus Z790-H), it removed all the adjustments I had done (detailed in my previous post here) and my game is still running without any issues, I played 3h no problem.

So I would recommend you to check your motherboard's manufacturer website and see if there is a new BIOS available.
