I am also having the same problem and it is still happening after the patch. I’ve uninstalled the game and am reinstalling it now but I’m not sure if that will fix anything.
I still does for me after patch I've tried a new headset I've reinstalled it and I cleared my cache
- It has improved in that I can now hear gunfire most of the time, however there are still delays in the sound or drop outs. It has improved a great deal though, just still not perfect.
- Yeah it did get slightly better but if things get to chaotic the sound goes out the window
- After playing more today this is far from fixed. The patch has improved it somewhat, but too often the sound is cutting out or delayed, it's so frustrating. Not only that, but the new patch has brought in crashes and micro stutterers for me (by micro I mean 1-2 seconds of the game freezing before carrying on).
Not good at all. it is still not working properly after patch

The Sims Team
Sorry for the delay, this has been raised to the Apex team for investigation - Thanks for all the information you were able to provide.
Marking as resolved for visibility only.
- Has there been another patch, as I've played some games today and not had any audio issues. It's been great! Nice being able to hear the enemy before they shoot me in the face.
- It's still doing it for me unfortunately
- That's odd, mine is definitely sorted now.
Weird. It is still happening for me. In fact, it only started happening since the last patch. Heres an example from yesterday
It's months later and I'm still having this problem. I don't know what it means to be marked solved for visibility purposes, but it's not solved still.

We appreciate your patience on this and it's considered one of top issues the team is looking into. They recently touched up on the audio issues in the 3.28.19 check in.AUDIO KNOWN ISSUES
Issues we are aware of and currently looking into:
-
Audio dropouts, where sounds or parts of sounds in the game seem to be missing at times.
-
Audio distortion, where there is loud static or mangled-sounding audio that plays, generally during large gunfights and/or heavy concentrations of players.
-
Close enemy footsteps being too quiet, or silent, in some situations.
Some troubleshooting tips that could help improve your audio performance:
-
Hard drive performance is the biggest factor, so anything that can make your hard drive faster can help, including:
-
Defragging your PC HD prior to the game installation (but don't defrag if you have an SSD!) .
-
If possible, we recommend using a fast HD to install the game onto, such as an SSD or a 7200 RPM HD.
-
It can potentially help to make sure that the hard drive is not being hit by other background processes, such as downloading other games or recording video to the same HD as the game.
-
-
Currently, the game does not support quad audio. If your game is currently set to that, please change it to stereo or another surround option, such as 5.1 or 7.1, if your setup supports that.
When you experience audio issues or bug, here is some info you can provide to help us identify the problem:
-
General system specs, including the particular console you are on (PS4, PS4 Pro, XB1, XB1S, XB1X) or the PC and hard drive used, if on PC.
-
Analysis of other things going on during the game at the time - was there generally poor performance from server lag, bad frame rate, etc.
-
Video if you happen to be able to capture it in a non-performance hindering way.

Those three known audio issues seem to hit the nail on the head. I'm playing on xbox one with a Samsung tv, though I usually use a headset or headphones. None of these has helped with the audio issues. I'm unaware of any background programs running. I oftentimes have a few games without issues, then suddenly during a fight they occur again, and continue to do so for future games. Restarting the xbox and/ or game usually doesn't fix it. I've seen the issue start in games with no obvious lag. Thank you for your time. It's so frustrating because it's such a fantastic game otherwise.
Been having this issue since day one. But I don't on PC.
The same thing just randomly started happening to me I played all day untill 5 when the wife got home. Now i am staying up late to play some more but i have absolutely no sound in game on apex at all. Even in the lobby. (Pressing y to start match) no sound. Please fix soon as the game is unplayable at this point.
Currently just started experiencing the issue and I cannot do these as I am a console peasant. I've enjoyed about three matches today and now every game after my audio has completely cut out. It normally happens around extreme sounds like the initial jump or jump balloons. Sometimes ill just be walking and it'll go out. My gamertag is Stealthy Keanu
Please assist
This has just started happening to me and I’ve tried every method there is and it keeps happening please help me fix this
It’s 2021 and this problem still exist
Hiya, 6th Feb 2022 and im starting to have this problem too. Whenever i boot up apex on my xbox the audio is fine in the lobby & i can hear things. This is right up until i go into a match and land on the map. Once i land the audio cuts out completely & i cant hear anything even after that match is finished, there isnt even audio in the lobby.
Closing and opening the app doesnt work as it just does the same thing all over again. Ive tried the other solutions in this forum and still nothing, anything else i can do to solve this? I want to be able to complete my battle pass before the season ends but the game is unplayable for me.

STILL NOT FIXED
How has it been 3 years and still no fix?
I've been having this issue for at least a year or so that I can remember.
is it even an Apex issue or is it a Xbox/Xbox controller issue?
