Thanks for taking the time to report that player, as that type of language is absolutely unacceptable. Sorry that was something you had to encounter.

Just to clarify what can happen in these situations, if you had used similar language, even to question why another person said that, that also opens your account up to the possibility of being reported. Typically if you run into this type of behavior, I'd recommend not repeating the slurs or inappropriate language and just reporting them, then muting them.

This way a report will be sent up to us for review, you don't have to deal with hearing that anymore, and you don't leave your account open to being reported for repeating that type of language.

With that said, I do see you were able to get a case created to have our Terms of Service team take another look at the situation.

    Unfortunately the ban is still active, customer service isn’t forgiving

    Sorry to hear what happened to you. @EA_Mako 's suggestions on how to handle this type of thing in the future is spot on.

    Please note that it can take the team a while with cases. So it could be that you might have to wait the full time of the suspension before you get back to playing.

    Be sure to follow up on the case either way after a few days so that it can be properly resolved.

  • @Asmodeus566 Unfortunately they did answer quickly and the answer is that after careful consideration, the ban is proper to the term of use.
    I don’t think they check that I wrote « STOP THAT » right before or the audio (if it is recorded).
    I’m the bad guy right here, not the offended one.
    The one week ban is not a big deal, the worst thing in that case is that now I am facing a permanent ban, so it’s better in the future to be indifferent to anything being said and continue playing like nothing happend.

    It is horrible when others behave the way they do over comms or text.

    Do as @EA_Mako suggested:

    Ignore them, mute them and report them, do not interact with them via coms or text, do not stoop to their level or rise to their bait, just keep playing like nothing happened and report them.

    i am facing a very similar problem with my account. my toxic teammate being  racist all game and for me to stand up to him and tell him off cost me my account. i send many ban account appeals explaining my situation but TOS is very unforgiving in my case.

  • @venomismz1 I’m sure customer service doesn’t even look at games, they juste have one sentence from the game log, extracted by an IA, and apply stupidly the sentence.
    As the others suggest, just give up, stop interracting with others and use this time to explore other games to not come back on Origin ever
  • @EA_Mako Me too, and that racial player not only speak racial words on micphone,but also insult my character in game by repeat rise and kick me when i knocked down and locked me the wholegame, he is a Japanese, i can do nothing just leave the game and lose105lp,and these uselesswords, i respect this rules i got suspended ban for oneweek but this racist didn't get any punishment?

    In game chat is monitored by an automated system and will instantly ban for slurs and other banned terms. Best bet is to just never type in chat sadly. You can mute pings, text, and voice chat. There's an option in legend pick to immediately mute the entire enemy team if they start with any questionable voice communications.

    And if they're disrupting your game play (such as throwing the game) just report them for such.

  • yeah same with me lmao. the guy was salty about where i dropped late because i was afk for a few seconds as jumpmaster. He calls me stuff, uses profanities and provokes me so then when i stand up to him and say <removed> im the one who's getting banned for one week instead of him. He just sent one screenshot to EA without full context and now im banned coz i stood up for myself. How hilarious is this that EA guys who manage the cases didn't unban me and on top of it didnt ban his account either

    It's important to remember that this is not a comparison of which chat was worse.


    We'll look at whether the chat that was reported was a violation of our policies, which is why it's important to report and ignore those with inappropriate chat rather than replying in kind, as that only serves to open yourself up to an action as well if repeating or adding any inappropriate language.

    Locking the thread here as we cannot address these issues on the forums. Please create an appeal if you believe a ban was placed on your account incorrectly.
