Do you use MSI Afterburner or Rivatuner Statistics Server? Applications that hook into games are meant to be stopped or detected by EasyAntiCheat. If so, see if you can add them to the exclusions list in RivaTuner, or close the applications before launching Apex Legends.
Also providing the following information may help us troubleshoot your issue:

No, I do not use either one of those programs.
I have an HP Gaming Laptop running Windows 10.
Graphics Card: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3550H with Radeon Vega Mobile GFX
Motherboard: HP 86D4
I completely factory reset my computer so all of my Razer programs are gone. I have Visual C++ installed. I don’t believe I have a firewall on the router, just Windows and McAfee. Not quite sure about that though.
If anyone else has any suggestions or advice I’d appreciate it. At this point I’m thinking I’m stuck playing Apex on the Switch 😭
