Tried this too. In earlier comments that were made about temp and cpu monitor programs. Did not work.

Seems like we are narrowing it down for sure.

Anyone saying that it worked after reinstalling origin, had an outdated version.

Anyone that updates their drivers or windows seemed to have a new enough cpu to launch the game 

Picking on us old timers I see.

Tuned 42 today and it would be a great bday present to get off work and have a fix for my old gaming rig. I mean, I am able to play other top/new games put there ...

To be clear, this is more for people who have NEVER been able to launch the game.

Not once or twice, not a crash in game, not a crash leaving the game.

-> NEVER been able to launch game.

People who have attempted:

- Updated/clean remove-install GPU drivers

- Windows 10 64-bit up to date

- Tried removing/reinstalling Origin

- Tried different Microsoft Visual C++

- Tried suppressing anything resembling third-party function (RGB lights, overclock/monitor programs, etc.)

- Tried the game's Repair function

- Same PC successfully plays PUBG, Fortnite, Blackout, Fear the Wolves, etc.

- Other installed games (I.e., Fear the Wolves) that use Easy AntiCheat have no problems

This PC shares commonality with others:

- Older CPU without the SSE 4.2 instruction set. It has 4.1 support, but not 4.2.

- CPU is a 4 (physical) core Xeon operating at 3.8Ghz, definitely adequate.

- As mentioned, plays all typical Battle Royale and all recent AAA titles at 1080p/High/60fps.

- GPU is a RX 580 8GB (using Feb. 4th official new AMD drivers w/ Apex support).

- PC has 16GB ram, again well within spec.

*Apparently Metal Gear Solid V, No Man's Sky, and Assassin's Creed Origins had similar SSE issues, and they all received developer patches to fix it.
