Re: Micro Stutters every 5 seconds on Xbox Series S

Hi there, @kamenzzzz.

Thanks for reaching out to us. Has this been happening since you first started playing? Also, has it been a while since you power cycled your equipment? If so, try doing it now with these steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not.

Thanks for trying. Let's see if alternate DNS settings will help. From the Xbox One screen, go to Settings > Network > Advanced settings > DNS settings > Manual. (If Settings doesn't appear on the home screen, select My Games & Apps, then Settings). From there, enter the Primary DNS as "208.67.222.222" and the Secondary DNS as "208.67.220.220". If that doesn't help, try using the google DNS servers which are: primary alt number 8.8.8.8 - secondary alt number 8.8.4.4. Let me know how it goes.

  • Have tried it before and now, no difference. Still having  constant frame drops.

Do you have a PC by chance? If so let’s find out how your connection is reaching our servers. Can you run a UO Trace and screenshot the results? Instructions are here. This will need to be run on a PC that's wired and on the same network you play on.

  • I dont own a PC and my ping is fine.

Its the constant frame drops and texture loss that's making it unplayable.

FYI it doesn't happen on any other game I play.

That's going to make it a lot more difficult to find out what the issue is, but we'll keep trying. Let's see if clearing the alternate MAC address will help. Please follow these steps:

Go to your Xbox One Settings (Just press Start, then click Settings)
Go to "Network", then "Advanced Network Settings"
Click on "Alternate MAC Address", and then click "Clear"

Let me know if that makes a difference or not. Thanks!

  • I do this before starting the game every day, it doesn't work either.

Have you checked to make sure your ethernet cable isn't damaged? Also, see if your router supports QoS (Quality of Service). If it does, try enabling that. While you're in the router admin, make sure UPnP is enabled.

  • Tried it.

Still observing FPS drops and texture loss, this wasn't happening last season.

Thanks for checking on both of those. If they're enabled, I can't really think of anything else to try other than deleting and reinstalling. I think you should contact an advisor to see if they have any suggestions. To do that, try messaging @EAHelp through Twitter or open a case with a live support advisor here: https://help.ea.com/en/contact-us/new/. You can also go to facebook.com/eahelphub to get in touch with support. They'll look into this for you. Thanks!
