I play an steam on a windows 10 pc and use a wireless connection. My setup and surroundings have been unchanged since well before the current season and I was not experiencing this issue until this season just to be clear. As an added note a wired connection is completely unavailable to me.

Is a wired connection impossible due to how far from the router you are?
It’s not terribly far, maybe 40-50 feet or so but the main issue is that I don’t have a viable route to run the cable. My wireless connection is pretty strong and I don’t have any issues with the connection normally.

Sometimes, when a connection suddenly gets back, it just means you need to power cycle. Try doing that now with these steps: unplug your modem and router. Also, shut down your PC. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Start up your PC and try playing again. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!
Keep in mind though, wireless is unreliable and prone to disconnects/lag. Especially when the signal has to travel through walls and/or floors. This gets worse when there are other devices sharing the same connection. It's worse still when anyone is streaming media while you're playing. Until you get wired, or at a minimum, closer to the router, this will continue to happen. You can try changing the wireless channel you're using. That may help. Also, you could try opening ports. They are listed here.
I have been having the same issues. Especially after the Genesis and the Thrillseekers update. I have a wireless connection too and im very close to it, just 10 feet or so, I get no lags or stutters in Arenas, but only in Battle Royale.

Would you be able to switch to a wire to see if that improves the connection?
It doesn't. It's just battle royale where the ping is way too high and stutters too much. For example, if I'm getting 75ms ping on the Singapore GCE 2 server, I get around 80ms in the Arenas, which is fine, but as soon as I join a match in battle royale, it goes 150ms+. This problem had first appeared after the Genesis patch, EA Support on Twitter contacted me, and just said that they are working on the problem, during the first week of Thrillseekers everything was fine, then during this second week, battle royale has been unplayable again.

I know we're investigating connection issues, but I don't have any news on that. The best I can do is continue to go through troubleshooting. If you'd like to continue that, let me know. Thanks!
I'm having the same issue, i'm connected to the nearest data center and it states 30-40 ms but during battle royale i'm having 150-200 ms. I'm currently using wired connection and my ping is still the same. I recommend you guys to have a look on this situation cause a lot of people are having the same issue and there's no fix.

We're continuing to look into these issues, but we can't rule out anything on your end that might be contributing to lag/disconnects without going through troubleshooting. Let me know if you'd like to do that. Thank you.
