Re: Unjust Permanent Ban on Apex Legends - Seeking Community Support

Hey @TSP_SmackEm,

While I understand you'd want to check every possible avenue, the only ones able to review or change an account ban would be our Terms of Service team. I'm afraid there is not another avenue to have a ban looked into further.

When it comes to actions applied for cheating for example, we'd be able to share the category of what took place and some general examples of what may qualify, but we wouldn't be able to provide any specific program names that resulted in the action being taken.

It looks like this ban was originally placed on the account a few years back. If you've been through multiple appeals and our TOS team has declined to remove the penalty, that would be final and not something that can be changed through any other channels either, sorry.

  • @EA_Mako They never shared the category of what took place. Just said I violated the terms of agreement. It did take place multiple years ago, I just figured by now that they would be willing to give me back access.

@EA_Mako Terms of Service team DEAD , they dont care at all and if u contact them they give you same answer thats mean they put u on auto reply
Ea need to delete auto reply and support team should look to all case , they can add a type of barrier on the number of emails allowed to be sent during the week, for example.

    Hi @alawnianas,

Our Terms of Service team is very much still active and will investigate appeals sent to them.

If they've reviewed a situation multiple times and declined to remove the penalty however, that would be final. At that point they would no longer review additional appeals.

Until that point all appeals are reviewed, they do not auto-reply. They may use templates in replies, but these cases are all reviewed manually.

I can prove to you that they are using automated responses, as it is unreasonable to receive the exact same reply seven consecutive times. Additionally, banning players simply due to a bad word or a quarrel between two parties is entirely unfair, even if it happens repeatedly. If you want to enforce these rules, review all the tournaments that have taken place during the game's lifespan, and you will end up banning at least 80% of the players due to offensive behavior. However, your rules are not applied to everyone equally because famous players are given preferential treatment. Evidence of this is the recent incident involving the player "Gdolphn," who used completely unacceptable language and was never banned—the matter was simply closed. I reiterate that offensive behavior is sometimes the result of frustration and emotional outbursts driven by passion for the game and the desire to win.

    Hey @alawnianas,

As I mentioned, they review each appeal manually up to a point.

After they've reviewed the same situation multiple times and have come to the conclusion that the action will stand, they will no longer perform additional reviews.

That is the point you're at now, which is why you're receiving those messages. Your situation has been reviewed by multiple members of the ToS team who have verified the action was taken correctly and is appropriate for this particular account based on prior history as well as what was said.

You're absolutely right that much of the time, offensive behavior comes from passion for the game. However, that does not excuse the behavior. We expect players to follow the Rules of Conduct whether they are frustrated or not, and in situations where that doesn't happen, we'll take the appropriate action if that behavior is brought to our attention through the available reporting options.

@EA_Mako I was banned due to alleged misconduct and contacted the technical support team you defend. However, I received the same response seven consecutive times: "Please do not expect further responses on this matter." Do you believe such a reply could come from a person seven times in a row?

I also reached out via live chat, but they claimed they had no way to communicate with the support team. Instead, they suggested using the FAQ website, which proved equally unhelpful. It appears that no one in this company can connect with human technical support unless you're lucky or a famous player who knows the developers or company staff.

Many accounts have been banned over simple disputes between players, yet those affected are unable to access real human support. Meanwhile, you continue to copy and paste links to the support page without offering any real help.

I have tried all possible channels, including social media and Reddit, and the only advice I received was to use third-party services. These are people unaffiliated with the company who exploit the lack of direct support for banned players, charging fees to lift bans. This practice takes advantage of players, leaving many with no recourse, potentially losing their accounts for good.

I refuse to gamble with such attempts. I don’t know why I’m even writing this here, knowing in advance that it will likely yield no results.

@EA_Mako How long should I wait during the ban before contacting the company to request the removal of a permanent ban for misconduct? Has there ever been a case where a permanent ban for such a situation was lifted? I don't want to try in vain.

    @alawnianas

Any third parties claiming to be able to remove a ban are simply scammers trying to take account information. The only team able to remove a ban is our Terms of Service team.

And no, as I said above, the appeals are manually reviewed up until a certain point. Once they've reviewed your situation multiple times and you start receiving the message stating "Please do not expect further responses on this matter.", your case can no longer be reviewed.

When they say not to expect further responses on the matter, they mean it. There are no additional reviews taking place at that point so if you continue trying to place appeals, the only reply will be that message.

This means your account has already had 3 separate individuals from the team review the situation and they've all come to the conclusion that our Terms of Service (Rules of Conduct) were violated. There is no other recourse for the account once it reaches that point, I'm afraid.
