Really disappointed with EA's customer care
- 2 years agoHey @f5reset, Sorry to hear you're having some trouble with the account and that this was missed. While we do try to catch what issues we can on the boards, we aren't able to get to every post so direct support issues are generally best going through EA Help directly. That said, I do see you've already tried reaching out a number of times and although the situation has not changed since your earlier thread, I did want to try clarifying the situation a bit more here.
I am informed that the account does not exist. I signed up for a new account using the same email and linked it to my steam account and everything was reset. This would be at the root of the issue here. Progress is stored on the EA account level, not on individual platforms like PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, etc. This means if you link your platform to a different EA account, you'll lose access to that progress. In this case, it sounds like your old EA account was either disabled due to inactivity or had its email changed by another party. When you created a new EA account, that no longer had your progress in Apex, as that would still be on the original EA account. You will need to try locating the original account and then re-linking your Steam account there instead of this brand new EA account to try recovering any progress. We cannot make any changes or discuss account details on the forums, so for this you will need to speak with the support team directly, as you've been trying. I would try speaking with them to locate and/or recover the old account, rather than speaking with them about missing Apex content, as fixing the first issue should help with the second. If you create a new case here and select Game Support > The EA app > I want to update my EA Account information or I need help logging in to my EA Account, you should be able to get in touch with the support team so they can take another look.
