Server crash

So this happened yesterday while I am playing pubs on console(Ps4). A random teammate suddenly invites me to join his party. At first I though we were gonna do pubs or ranked game. But then he put us on the firing range, so i thought that he wants to do 1 vs 1. So as oblivious as to what he wants, i pick up guns and enabled friendly mode then I started firing at him. But he didn't retaliate. He was just pointing and pinging guns and because I dont know what he wanted, I picked up the guns and ammo he pinged.
The weirdest part was, after picking up different guns and ammo. He wanted us to go the respawn point of the firing range and change champion. He picked pathfinder, so I copied what he did. Then we grappled to the roof of the starting point in the firing range, after 2 or 3 grapple, the server crashed.

My question is, has there been a similar situation happened to anyone here? and if so does this mean anything?
