4 years ago@Tripplesz I wouldn't recommend it at all. Unlinking can be a pandora's box and I don't want to make a promise I can't guarantee.
Generally I wouldn't recommend unlinking unless there was a strong reason to do so, and in your case it sounds like you can just play the game on Origin. This will leave you free to swap back to Steam later if you should so choose, too.

Unfortunately I haven't been able to find a confirmation either way. It's a tricky situation, and a prime case for why not to account share.
I did test delinking in this matter on one of my accounts and it worked fine, but that didn't have a spend on Steam.
My instinct is that in your case it would be fine, but I can't guarantee that, and it certainly wouldn't be something I'd take a risk on at the amount of money you've put into the game.- thisuserbanned4 years agoSeasoned Newcomer
@EA_David Yeah, I know. Account sharing isnt that smart, but i've used his steam for 3 years, didnt think he needed it back.
But as you said, you tried it.
If I make an account, play apex on steam, I buy battlepass and lvl it up, and then try and de-link, and it doesnt remove my progress and items, does that mean it wont happen on my other account also.
Like, is the result final, as in my new test account, if that gets to keep its *, then there is no chance for my main account, to lose its *? If I try and spend money on it etc?
