Valve Vienna SDR redirected to India (180ms+) for Europe
Hi everyone, and hopefully some Valve/SDR engineers.
I've identified a massive routing anomaly affecting players in the Eastern European region.
The Vienna SDR (Steam Datagram Relay) node 155.133.224.1 is currently being misrouted at the backbone level.
The Problem: Multiple Tier-1 providers like Arelion (Twelve99) and Cogent, NTT, GTT, Lumen are incorrectly identifying this prefix as being in India. Instead of a 30ms path to Vienna, our traffic hits Frankfurt and then jumps directly to Bharti Airtel (India), resulting in 180ms+ latency.
Evidence:
Local traces show the packet is fine in Vienna (30ms), but then Cogent loops it through Milan/Marseille.
Arelion's Looking Glass shows a direct jump from Frankfurt to India.
This makes the Vienna SDR completely unusable for Apex and CS players in our region. If you are from the Balkans, Moldova, or Ukraine, please run a traceroute to 155.133.224.1 and post your results below. Let's get Valve to fix their BGP announcements!
