Xbox Elite Controller Series 2 Deadzone Problem in Apex

I have been using the Xbox Elite Wireless Controller Series 2 in Apex, and I’ve set the sensitivity to "Linear" and the deadzone to "None." However, there seems to be a slight deadzone still present. Specifically, when I don't touch the right stick, there should be a small drift, but it doesn’t happen. Does this mean the in-game settings are not being reflected properly? Also, if there is a deadzone set on the controller side, would adjusting the deadzone settings within Steam or through other methods be considered a violation of the terms of service?
