Xbox one x performance is bad

So I’ve heard Xbox one x is the best console to play apex, but it’s not stable in the slightest. The drop sequence is talked about a good bit and yes it’s not ideal but it doesn’t affect gameplay so I’m ok. BUT when you’re on the ground, it’s smooth till you look at the big city,  and not to mention that Geiser in the swamp that shoots into the air. Turns your game from 60 FPS to 30 FPS. Is this normal? I’m used to playing pc but it can’t handle apex so I’m not sure if drops like this every time something big happens is normal. I know I sound petty but things like this prevent me from having a good experience.
