Hello Friends/Community but never EA/DICE, Guys,if you are a content creator from Portal using Godot e.t.c. You can forget about it.I spent many many hours to learn about Godot and create a complex ...
The map size does not matter because I checked on tiny map without combat area and huge map with big combat area. Also I checked 500 total objects on the map and 3500 but still crashing. Also crashing with 30 players. My blocks/scripts were working one month ago and were stable. No server did'nt stand for a few days and rubber band but was always fresh start. The problem is they gave us garbage 30 hz ,laggy and crashing servers in Uganda because is cheap. They need to make a profit from the game at all cost.
Bare in mind that you don't get stats for kills on portal servers and is almost 0 XP and no xp fot weapons e.t.c.
Well, I have 16 experiences, and only a couple crash for some PC players; the big ones with a bunch of UI trickery that no one plays anyway. None have rubberbanded ever, in the hours and hours I have played. I think you should find the problem by the process of elimination. I would start by removing your rules. I am pretty sure that if you remove all rules and then try, you would see that your crashing and performance problems stop, except for maybe your 9-objective monstrosity. There is no reason you should have problems on smaller maps with fewer players. Something is wrong. And that something is something you have control over. I know you don't want to believe it, if you haven't already seen evidence for yourself, but I assure you that if you change whatever approach you have implemented, you will suddenly see the evidence for yourself.
It looks like you are using the viperstudiosandy code that everyone is using. No offense to him, and his work is commendable and a work of passion, but I really think he has gone all out on making something cool at the cost of performance and stability. It's not his fault that the game and portal developer made almost limitless options for servers which are limited. The amount of resource abuse implemented though, is absurd, in my opinion. I would highly recommend pruning a bunch. I have cut the rules down a ton and not suffered gameplay as a consequence, in my opinion. I outlined how. Want a copy of the rules I use?
Their latest published template code version. You know.... I mean..... I'll leave the highlighted as it stands.
Again, no offense to their work, but they are designing something to broadly suit people and adapt to a wide variety of options. Once you decide what your application is, I would encourage you to customize and make it what you need. It is called a template, after all.
