How to KILL a game with a SIMPLE move.

Alright. Let me make it simple.
The BREAKTHROUGH HARDCORE mode used to be in the FEATURED section.
Obviously, being featured, it was heavily played — servers were always full because all you had to do was click the button and hit PLAY.
Now instead, you have to search, type “hardcore”, scroll through servers, decide which one to play, check the ping, find one with room for you and your friends, and most importantly, make sure it actually has players. Nobody likes playing against bots.
The mode had over 100,000 likes — probably more than any other Portal mode.
Today, they removed it from the Featured section. For the first time, I joined it manually (horrible experience), and of course it’s almost empty. Because obviously, people don’t want to waste time clicking through search menus, and they’re right.
Congrats DICE, great way to kill your own game. Thanks.

I understand the game is just started,  I understand they rotate the modes.
What I don’t understand is WHY remove a button — it costs nothing to keep it — especially when you can CLEARLY see it was the MOST LIKED Portal mode with over 100k likes (while others barely reach 10k).
That’s a genuine and stupid mistake from a company that makes billions.
That said, I LOVE Battlefield 6. For me, it’s the best game out there. But these are simple, stupid errors coming from such a big, respected studio.
Keeping one button costs nothing.

The screenshot is old. You can check the likes on the mode X7SD , it's over 100k.

Why remove the MOST LIKED and PLAYED community mode from the Featured section?

    Here’s the simple difference:

When a mode has its own button, you just click it and hit PLAY — the game automatically puts you in a full server with real players.

Without that official button on the HUD, you now have to manually search for servers, type the name, scroll through the list, check pings, and hope to find one that’s not empty.

Result: people waste time searching instead of playing. You’re literally killing your most successful mode.

  • not only that, community servers runs really bad, the difference between community and official servers is huge

and from my experience, those were not even real hardcore servers, i died to someone from 4 bullets 100 dmg which means it was 100 hp and no dmg multiplier, real hardcore is 60 hp

idk wth they are doing, none of it makes much sense

make a button next to the play button where you can turn on hardcore for any of the official modes, and then apply the hardcore preset from portal to that server and let people enjoy hardcore on lagfree official servers

and then they can start cleaning up the mess in the community section and open up for 3rd party hosts so we can get some proper servers
