Redsec quitters

I think the game should copy apex ranked and put a 10 min timer on players that leave early when theres still redeploy towers stopping them from joining any multiplayer matches

as the early quitters is becoming more and more prevalent and making redsec an absolute joke

  • I agree. Redsec is probably one of the more enjoyable modes I've played. Every multiplayer game mode it too easy. The majority of games I've played on multiplayer consist of players that just feed, don't know how to defend, etc (thus too easy). I've found redsec to be the only mode where I have to actually be more map aware and think when/how to engage. I would expand your idea and say make the penalty so that they have can't join in any game, including multiplayer. It pretty clear a person that leaves the redsec game would just try to play another mode if the penalty was actually implemented, so adding that penalty across all modes would be better.

  • Let me get this right.

You want to Punish people for leaving a game they don't like, or joined and realised it was not for them, or maybe they had to go and do something, but either way, who are you to say "You joined so now you have to stay until the round finishes"

That is NOT something that should be in a VIDEO GAME.

The problem is they quit because they was downed or because they dont want to wait for a redeploy which spoils it for the others on the squad

9 out of 10 quit and start another redsec round straight away after they split from the squad go solo and realise theyre not rambo and get downed

and it they had to go and do something the 10min timer wouldnt affect them atall

and if its during the final ring and/or theres no redeploys then they shouldnt be punished

It's a bummer. I do enjoy redsec since it feels way more competitive than multiplayer.

Who am I to say my own opinion? You can state your opinion, we can debate, etc.

Here's my opinion and I am not forcing you to agree. Squads wait 3 to over 5 minutes to start a round. The player decides to leave and make the game heavily unfavorable for the players that waited to play. Now the team has to play an extensive game that you will most likely lose. How would you feel if you played a game and very frequently, a player would just leave the game and make you lose every time? My opinion is formulated to combat against this type of behavior in redsec, which is frequent. This is not something new or something that hasn't ever been implemented. CS2 already implements this for their competitive games. It has been implemented in a video game, the biggest FPS game in the world. I don't see anyone complaining there.

If you are suggesting that since redsec and CS2 competitive are not the same, than that is a separate debate. Here I can acknowledge that you may be right. But my argument is based on the fact that it matches loading times of CS2 competitive games, games can be extensive in time length, and it wastes the time of numerous players. These effects are felt similarly if you play CS2. Like I said, it'd be a difference of opinion.
