Rush Deserves Better in BF6
Hello Battlefield team and community,
As a veteran player who spent countless hours playing Rush in Battlefield: Bad Company 2, Battlefield 3, and Battlefield 4, I’m having a hard time finding that same feeling in BF6.
Right now, Rush feels like a secondary mode rather than a core pillar of Battlefield, and its full potential doesn’t seem to be pushed to the maximum.
For example, the new map Contamined doesn’t even include Rush. That’s very disappointing, especially considering how well this mode could work on that map. Rush should be available on as many maps as possible, not limited to only a few.
Another important issue is vehicle and infantry balance.
On certain maps and at specific phases, there are too many vehicles, which creates imbalance for either attackers or defenders. On other sections, there are not enough vehicles — or none at all — when they would actually be necessary to push a line.
In my opinion, Rush should prioritize lighter vehicles:
ATVs
Infantry fighting vehicles
Light transports
Armored transports
This would help maintain Battlefield’s identity without creating overwhelming imbalance. Heavy vehicles should be used more carefully in this mode.
I also strongly believe Rush should return to a 32-player format (16v16). That format felt ideal: large enough to create epic Battlefield moments, yet structured enough to preserve the intensity and flow that make Rush special.
Additionally, there could be room for a second version of the mode — for example, a “Rush Tactical” variant:
16 players (8v8)
No vehicles
Smaller layouts
More strategic and infantry-focused
This would allow two distinct experiences:
A large-scale classic Rush (16v16)
A smaller, more tactical Rush (8v8)
Right now, Rush feels caught between two identities without fully committing to either one.
This is not meant as a negative post, but as constructive feedback from someone who truly loves this mode and wants to see it return to being a major pillar of Battlefield.
