Dragon Age: Veilguard DLC Still Missing After 11 Months

EA_David   EA_Shepard

Just posting here again because I honestly don’t know where else to go with this and I'm sick of having this issue.

The DLC I purchased for Dragon Age: The Veilguard is not showing up in my game. It was there last night for a brief moment, then disappeared again. I haven’t changed anything on my end and it’s been like this since release, so we’re coming up on 11 months now where I am having issues with the DLC based off of EA's entitlements issue.

I've tried everything I possibly can on my end to fix this:
- Verified the game files
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the game
- Cleared cache
- Logged out and back in
- Checked my EA account (DLC shows as owned)
- Purchased an EA Play membership
- Spoke with a bunch of EA support agents
- Talked to other players on forums, Reddit, and Discord

Still nothing. The DLC just doesn’t show up in-game, even though I paid for it and my account says I own it. Again, it showed up briefly last night, then vanished again for no reason. Every support agent I have spoken to have said the game and the DLC do not show up on my account as owned.

I’ve spoken with several EA support agents. Most just repeated the same generic troubleshooting steps that I had already done multiple times. None of them had any idea what was actually going on. No one could escalate the issue or give me any clear next steps. Community members and managers have tried to help too but everyone’s stumped.

This is EA Support stating that the game and DLC do not show up in my account:

It’s not just me either. There are plenty of other players dealing with the same thing and it seems like we’ve all just been left hanging.

I live in Australia, and under Australian Consumer Law, companies are legally required to provide what customers have paid for. If you sell content and then fail to deliver it, that’s a serious issue. I’ve paid for something that I don’t have access to, and EA hasn’t done anything to resolve it for almost a year.

We either need a proper response from someone who actually understands this issue, confirmation that EA is aware of it and are working on a fix, or some kind of compensation or complete refund.

At this point I feel like I’ve tried everything and gotten nowhere. EA, please step up and take responsibility for this.

Completely agree I’m astounded at the lack of communication or resolution to this issue, they are very happy to take the money but when they don’t deliver what they offered it seems to be a case of oh well and onto the next.  I get the game isn’t supported anymore but this seems to be an account issue not a game issue so that excuse isn’t valid.

I’ve been on to the support agents and been told there is no way of getting a refund, I’m not even asking for a full refund as I have the game just the difference between standard version and the deluxe version as despite paying for the deluxe version I effectively only have the standard version.

They need to be honest, if they can’t fix it (or can’t be bothered to sort it out) then we need to know and offered proper compensation, not a months free of EA Play or something like that I don’t subscribe to it and after this farce I never will.

Something I learned when contacting support all those times is that they are absolutely useless. Actually, whatever is less than useless is what they are. They lack basic reading and comprehension and I have no clue how a multi billion dollar company decides to skimp out on basic support training for their employees. They ask me the same question multiple times, for example I had one agent who I was with for over an hour; I told him that I did not have access to the DLC, after about 30 minutes of him "helping" he asks me if I had issues with the game or the DLC. I almost lost my mind and the amount of braincells that died trying to explain to them in simple terms what issues I am having could be a world record. They also take about 10 minutes to come up with a basic response, Google translate takes less than a second so I don't know what their excuse is lmao.

I agree with you completely, at this point I just want a complete refund for everything if they aren't able to fix this. There's other ways we could get the game that also includes those items which is the next thing I'm looking into as downloading mods was not able to help me with this issue either.

And after seeing the issues people who pre ordered BF6, as well as people who pre purchased Sims expansion packs also not getting the bonus items, I will NEVER pre order anything on the EA App. I will be using Steam for everything in the future.

From what I can understand from support, it seems like it shows to them that we do not own the game at all even though it is in our libraries. It looks like it shows them that because it thinks our EA Play subscription was the reason we could play it in the first place, and that if EA Play is expired we cannot access the game or DLC which is a bug within the system itself.

I'm having the same issue, and I didn't even realize it was missing. LOL. Then I saw a reddit post, and that got me checking. I own all the same things, and all the same things are locked/missing! I pre-ordered the game and everything (game is awesome, btw).

Why can't I access my content???

I play through the EA app and don't have (never had) EA Play.

Yeah I'm pretty sure you're not the only one, there's probably a lot more people who don't realise that it is missing. Funny thing is they removed the game completely from my account for some reason just a few moments ago.
