Can't play game bought from steam

Hi I've bought Star wars battlefront 2 on steam on a sale but when i try to launch the game it says "You don't have access. This title may have been downloaded to your device by another user who owns the game. Log in to a different account or restart the app to try again." I've checked if my steam is linked, I've restarted the app both through task manager and regularly, sigining out of the app, rebooting my pc, reintsalling star wars, verifying files through steam and everything else i can think of. It also doesn't show star wars as installed from EA but shows through steam. I also have xbox gold EA play which i saw might be a factor. Plz help
