Hi, I'm experiencing the 10005 error when trying to log into the EA App on my Mac. I haven't used the app in a long time, but I keep getting this error when I attempt to log in, even though my internet connection is working fine and EA's server status page shows everything is up.
Here’s what I’ve already tried:
- Uninstalled and reinstalled the EA App (multiple times).
- Cleared the EA App cache by deleting the "Electronic Arts" folder from Library-Application Support, and other related folders from Library-Caches, Library-Preferences.
- Restarted the Mac after cleanup.
- Made sure the EA App has Full Disk Access and tested with the firewall enabled/disabled.
- Ran the command lsof -i 3216 in Terminal to check for port conflicts (nothing showed up).
- Checked that Rosetta is installed and that the EA App is running through it.
The app finally let me enter my login credentials, but then failed at login with the same 10005 error.
At this point, I’m completely stuck. Could someone from EA Support or a community manager help me figure out what’s blocking the login process or how to get around this issue?
Thanks in advance.

Well, it turns out I was looking at the other forum and uninstalled McAfee, and that seems to be the problem. I actually removed the McAfee firewall before trying anything, but it seems the problem is the antivirus as a whole. Maybe it can help.
