Issue:
I’ve been unable to open the EA App on my MacBook Air since July 2025. Every time I try to launch it, I get the same error message: EC:10005. The app has never opened successfully since then.
What I’ve tried:
I’ve searched online (and read a bunch previous report made here) and attempted every suggested fix I could find. I’ve been retrying these solutions every now and then since July, but none of them have worked. Here are the solutions I’ve already tried (that I remember of):
- Cleared the EA App cache
- Checked the firewall settings
- Reinstalled the EA App
- Tried reinstalling with the firewall disabled
- Tried installing and launching the app on three different Wi-Fi networks
- Deleted leftover folders in ~ /Library/Application Support/Electronic Arts
- Performed a full restart of the Mac
System information:
- Device: MacBook Air (2023, M2 chip)
- Connection: Private Wi-Fi (no VPN)
I’ve been trying to fix this since July with no luck, and I’m honestly running out of ideas. I’d really appreciate any guidance to get this fixed.
Yeah, same here today randomly just stopped opening error code 10500, i have never had issues before.
