Can’t verify/allow my son to play Battlefield 6

I am trying to allow my 12 year old son to play Battlefield 6. I have authorised/cleared it from the Microsoft side of things (we are playing on Xbox Series X). When it comes to the EA side of things, I get a far as the pop-up screen that says “Enter parent or guardian email” - which I enter & click “send email”, then nothing arrives. Both my son & I have EA accounts. Can you help please?

  • Hello everyone,

the game is rated Mature, which means that children are not allowed to play the game. Even as a parent, it's not possible to circumvent the mature rating on an underage EA account. Here is an article about child accounts at EA, where this is also mentioned.

  • We are having the same exact issue. Circular and no resolution. Did you find any fix?

Im also having a very similar issue. However i am able to sign in but whenever i go to make any changes to my account it wants to send a code that i never receive. I have been in circles for the past two hours trying to fix this. Of course i cant just talk to a real human to help it all has to be a lazy ai prompt

  • We are having the exact same issue!  Except when we click "continue on the account childs verification it comes up with an error code and says "unable to connect".

I have gone round and round with EA customer service and they completely refuse to help. They just keep giving us the run around saying to create a new EA account which we have done and makes no difference. They said they aren't able to make changes tons underage account.  Their responses make zero sense. Then they told us "sorry we're unable to help you, anything else", like that's an even acceptable response?  This is crazy.   We need to blow up their Customer support and keep reporting this issue.

  • We are also having the same issue. My son and I have been able to play together up until this last patch. I opened a case with support and this is what they said in the support chat:

"I just have consulted with my team and I would like to inform you that we are receiving several cases about the same issue where people are reporting this issue to team for the investigation. I would request you to please wait for some time the issue will be fixed as soon as possible.

I would be glad to provide you a timeframe but as the team is different and we haven't received any updates yet. I am unable to give you any time frame. But no need to worry the issue will be fixed as soon as possible."

Having the same problem. Last patch stewed in up and my son can’t play. He has an unrestricted Xbox account so this is definitely on EA’s end.

Same problem here. My son is 12, we've played BF2042 together without issues, Battlefield 6 was fine until the last update - since then he gets this weird error /random numbers/ and can't play anymore. I've changed his Microsoft account to adult, but on EA side he still can't access the game. I can't access his EA profile either.

Yeah but Battlefield 2042 never did this, or had any issues.

So every parent that attempts to do the right thing and give their kid a child account gets punished.  Yet any child whose parent doesn't pay attention and lets the child have an adult account can continue.  Absolute **bleep** from EA.
