Why can't we change our connected PSN account?

I've logged a few hundred hours into Apex Legends on my Switch and I want to start getting back into the game because of the Cyberpunk event, but I connected the wrong PSN account to my EA account and now I can't access my skins and my heirlooms and all of that.

Is there a reason why we can't change our connected PSN account? Plenty of other games and services allow their users to change accounts around as much as they want, so what's so different about an EA account?

    Hey Euphemisery

I'm afraid you won't be able to link a new PlayStation account to the same EA account, even after unlinking the current one, because you can link only one platform account to an EA account in its lifetime. This was implemented primarily as a preventive measure to restrict account selling, limit the impact of hacking attempts, and prevent circumvention of bans.

Generally speaking, if you'd like to play using a different PlayStation account, you'll need a new EA account as well. However, if you haven't already, you could try reaching out to live support to see if they can help override the original account link. Please note that unlinking accounts always comes with some risks, so proceed only after you've taken a moment to understand them.

Let us know how it goes, thanks!
