You make some interesting points but some do not make sense.
You mention launch gameplay and above mention spinning in circles. You are wrong here. It was far worse on release. It was constant spinning in circles on release. The gameplay was so loose and defenders could not jockey properly. It was far worse on release.
Release had almost no variation of goals. Since the patches the variation is larger. I'm not saying people don't try and score the same goals. They will always go to what they think is successful for them.
Long balls used to be a serious problem. Or more so over the top through balls. They were exploited all the time at one point. You can score the off the odd long ball.
Crosses again once upon a time were abused as everyone only wanted tall strikers. Not many people cross more because everyone is playing for the percentage goals. Crosses will always have an element of maybe scoring but more likely to be defended. Passing in to the strikers feet 12 yards out will usually give you a better return.
Corners. I see plenty of goals from corners.
You mention skill moves. Interesting that one of the most unrealistic goal types you will ever see comes from a skill move. If anything they require further nerfing. Skill moves should not always be carried out with 100% success and tbh it's often the most toxic players who try spamming them all game long.
The issues I see from my point of view with this game mostly circle around Ultimate Team. Ultimate Team brings the most scummy play to this game and that is EAs fault. UT has created the rise of these people on social media constantly promoting so called "meta" formations and style of play. It is pure scum for likes. Half the players that deploy them can't even play any style of football.
So I do blame EA for this. People on these forums who constantly moan about the problems they encounter with Ultimate Team ... Seriously, what do they expect? You have men and women mixed. You have attributes so high that the success rate will be beyond realistic. Moan about it being a chore to play. I agree. It's because of the pure sweaty nature of win at all costs. It's what it's done to this game.
Back in the day when there was lobbies and you could join, chat with players like inside a chat room (good old days) go off and play games. Sometimes even make friends with people. The games were fun because you were not playing for cards and crap.
You could even create online leagues within the game and invite people and play them for points.
EA ripped that all up for Ultimate Team. It was for pure greed. I get that it's great for business revenue. But at the expense of future fun for players of the game.
Ultimate Team is not fun. It's absolute arcade trash that is cringe to watch. Everyone tries the same rubbish and half of the games you watch are full of clones all over the field. The meta teams.
If you play Ultimate Team then you are part of the problem for playing in to EAs hands.
I am sure by now everyone knows my views and know I only Online Seasons with stock teams. I am not claiming it is perfect but man it's much more refreshing to play than the scum fest of UT sweaty dripping players.
Just please stop playing Ultimate Team. It's such a shame what it has done to the community.
Before anyone comes in calling me an EA shill or whatever, I'm not. I hate UT and everything it stands for. If I was an EA shill I'd be defending it.
Thanks.
