I'm facing that exact same issue and I could found that many others (not a lot) are finding themselves with this issue.
Like you stated, I also tried all of that and the issue continues. Of course it is an EA problem, but given the fact the we, the People that are having that issue, are not many worldwide they won't fix this because they will address towards 'Sony console related issues' which in this case is not.
Maybe they could fix this in the upcoming update but my point of view says otherwise because this issue is not as common as it seems.
Unfortunately, we cannot play properly due to this and hopefully an EA Community manager reads this, my post or others and could find us a real solution addressing this issue to the developers.
EA_Edu EA_Kat perhaps you could give us a hand addressing this to the person in charge.
