DualSense controller stops working only in online modes (Rivals) on PC

I am playing EA SPORTS FC 26 on PC using a PS5 DualSense controller. The controller works in the menus and in offline modes, but when I enter online modes such as Rivals, all inputs stop registering....

I have the same problem, I'm fed up. I have to quit the game. My progress is going backwards!!!
