EA FC 26 - 100% CPU while playing UT on PC
Hi everyone.
After multiple recent updates, this issue started happening again for me in EA FC 26.
Whenever I play Ultimate Team modes such as Rivals, Squad Battles or Gauntlet, the match starts normally. However, after a while, the game seems to put more and more load on my CPU. Eventually my CPU usage goes up to 100% constantly, and the game becomes completely unplayable.
The main symptoms are:
- Severe stuttering and freezing during gameplay
- Several-second input delay
- Audio glitches and crackling
- Not only the game audio glitches, but my whole PC audio does too
- Background music also starts glitching/freezing
- It feels like the whole system is close to freezing
I have already tried reinstalling the game and using the repair option, but the issue still happens.
Does anyone know what could cause this or how to fix it? Could this be related to one of the recent updates, EA AntiCheat, CPU usage, shaders, drivers or some background process?

My PC specs:
- CPU: Ryzen 5 5500
- GPU: Radeon RX 6700 XT 12GB
- RAM: 24GB DDR4
- Windows 10
- Currently the game is installed on an HDD. I also tried it on an SSD without success, but the issue still happens.
