The disconnects occur mainly when there's a foul. I've played about 50 matches in the last 24 hours, managed to finish only 3. Every single time I get disconnected it happens after a foul. If there are no fouls - there are no disconnects.
I've tried:
- deleting the AppData folder
- reinstalling the game anew
- hitting Repair a couple of times
- installing the game on another PC
- toggling Cross Play (multiple times)
- switching DNS servers (this has 0 technical reasoning behind this as the game uses direct IP connection, not domains ... but hey- worth a try, right?)
- toggling the Proximity settings
- routing my internet through a dozen different VPN servers geolocated in different zones (servers for gaming that I manage, not something that I rent and is used by other people)
It does not matter - if there is a foul in the match, the game disconnects.
This is 100% fault in their netcode and has nothing to do with our internet/settings.
I believe it’s different for some than for others, because yesterday I played UT and Rush all day without any issues, even after a foul (there were many).
Here’s an update on today’s situation: it’s working for me and all my friends. We shared the guide on Steam, and many people are saying it works. What we noticed is that you shouldn’t touch the graphic settings. Otherwise, the steps become useless.
Sorry, no, it doesn't work. I deleted the game entirely and wiped everything related to EA FC 26 off my system, to the best of my abilities. I reinstalled the game, didn't alter any settings at all and jumped straight into a Rush game. 3 games - 3 disconnects. Did not touch a thing in terms of settings.
This is absolutely not local.
You don't have to delete the game or uninstall, you only have to delete the folder with data files and after verify and repair the folder. If this doesn't work, unfortunately, It's not the fix for you. I Just posted it on steam community and it worked for many, but we don't all have the same pc obviously.
Everything worked but i couldn't help myself and edited the graphics due to delay etc... . Do i redo everything or just continue as long as its working ?
The problem is that to apply the settings you have to restart the game and that will cause the disconnection again.
