PC players cannot join the same Clubs match lobby as console players
After the PC version updated to Title Update 1.5.2, cross-play in Clubs appears to be broken between PC and console.
Issue summary
When a console player is already in the Clubs match lobby, a PC player cannot enter the lobby.
The reverse is also true: when a PC player is already in the Clubs match lobby, a console player cannot enter.
This issue started only after the PC update to version 1.5.2.
Before that, PC and console players were able to play Clubs together normally.
Platforms involved
- PC
- Console (PS5 / Xbox Series X|S)
Mode
- Clubs
Cross-play setting
- Enabled on both sides
Steps to reproduce
- Launch EA SPORTS FC 26 on PC with version 1.5.2 installed.
- Launch EA SPORTS FC 26 on console.
- Make sure cross-play is enabled on both accounts.
- Try to gather in the same Clubs match lobby.
- Observe that the player from the other platform cannot enter the lobby.
Actual result
PC and console players cannot be in the same Clubs match lobby.
Expected result
PC and console players should be able to join the same Clubs match lobby and queue together, since Clubs supports cross-play.
Frequency
- 100% reproducible for our group
Possible cause
This may be caused by a version mismatch between PC and console after PC received update 1.5.2.
Troubleshooting tried
- Restarted the game
- Recreated the lobby
- Confirmed cross-play is enabled
- Retried multiple times
Please investigate whether PC Title Update 1.5.2 has unintentionally broken Clubs cross-play with console players.
