Possible problem for controller stop working and random crashes on PC

I want to share an important clarification regarding the issues many players are experiencing in FC 26 on PC.

The root cause seems to be related to the number of cores and threads of the processor. That’s why even some good processors from older generations encounter this problem, especially in laptops.

Main observations:
The issue occurs mostly when the processor has fewer than 8 cores and 16 threads. Even if the CPU is powerful enough for the game, the lack of cores creates instability. When CPU usage goes above 95 percent for a few seconds, the game breaks: controllers stop working or the game crashes. This problem happens in both online and offline modes. In online, the CPU is used more intensively. The new faster game pace and improved connection handling require more cores, so it makes sense why it would load the CPU, especially the cores and threads. In offline, including Squad Battles, the issue appears as well, with many players reporting crashes.

Patterns I observed:
Users with high-end CPUs (8 cores and 16 threads or better) reported this issue, but this still applies. Limiting FPS to 30 or 60 sometimes helps temporarily, but after a few matches the CPU still spikes above 95 percent and the problem reappears. Setting EA-related processes to low priority also worked only for a short time.

My case:
I have a CPU with only 4 cores. Most of the time usage stays below 95 percent, but whenever it spikes above, controllers immediately stop working. I also reproduced this in Rush mode and Squad Battles, where the game even crashed when CPU load went high for a few seconds.

Conclusion:
This is not just coincidence. There is a clear pattern: the problem is directly linked to how the game and anti-cheat handle CPUs with fewer cores. If this is indeed the cause, it also explains why online modes are most affected. Faster pace and network optimizations require more cores, not brute force. This situation needs investigation, because currently the game is not properly optimized for mid-range or older CPUs. It looks like it was mainly tested on high-end systems, leaving a significant part of the community affected.
